Our First Family Trip------SAN DIEGO!!!

Sooooo, we had an amazing trip to California the last week of March! Just Nick, Addyson, and I went because we decided it's rare us three do anything big alone, like that.

Day 1: We check into the hotel then decided that we need some food and shopping time! There is a mall downtown that is outdoors and being that it was sooo nice out, it was perfect. We window shopped and then ate at Panda express, which Pooky loved! There were Pigeons all around where we sat to eat and Addyson was amazed by them and kept feeding them her orange chicken!

Day 2: It was off to the beach. We went looking for a special beach called, "Childrens Pool Beach", in La Jolla, which was supposed to have seals that settled on a rock nearby and a great spot for kids to swim. Well, we didn't find it, (come to find out, we passed it) so we kept driving and found a beautiful spot with Tide pools and sand and large rock cliffs! Addy was terrifed of the waves and sand for a few minutes, then we finally got her into the sand and she wanted to eat it! We stayed there for awhile then made our way  to a Pacific Beach spot where we layed in the sand, took Addy by the water and made some smooshy sand castles. Addyson was in heaven! Later that night, we went to our FAVORITE Mexican Resturant in Down Town San Diego called La Pinata. I was so excited because we go there whenever we are in SD and it is a small, family owned place with amazing, home-made type of Mexican food!

Day 3: ZOO TIME! We woke up excited for our SD Zoo day! We went at 10, right when it opened to enjoy the early morning, cool weather. And that it was! We started at the Reptiles, which Sissy didn't seem to mind, then on to the Lion, Tigers and Birds. The Chimpanzees were awesome and Nick got a kick outta watching them. The zoo path was a long trek and at one time I thought I was going to die pushing the stroller and myself with my bad feet up hill for a long stretch. Because we, or I was so exausted after circling a few times, we left without seeing the Polor bear exploration which was the main thing we wanted to see....bummer, but still a good time.

Later that day, we made it to the beach we were looking for and found the seals! The beach spot was amazing in La Jolla! It was my favorite part of the trip. Nick even got to see his sunset he wanted. If we go back, I definitly would love to stay there.

Day 4: Home again, home again! And we were ready for our beds! Addy was cranky all the way home, but I can't say I blamed her, she hadn't been sleeping good in her playpen with us in the same room. Needless to say, it was a joyous ride on the way home.

Overall, it was an awesome trip and I think we should make it a yearly thing!  Here are some fun pics, a little bit of an overload, so enjoy!
