2 years old = 2 crazy for mom and dad!

We now have a toddler! We celebrated Addyson's 2nd birthday with a ton of friends and family at a neighborhood park. The theme was my little pony, since Addy's new obsession is ponies! The weather was gorgeous, although a little windy. We had so many people who we love and adore there to celebrate the beginning of the possible ' terrible two's ', haha! We ate pizza, played in the park, visited and the best part for Addy? All the gift opening! She was a little drained that night, but it was such a long day, who could blame her? Mom and Dad were pooped too!

Addyson's actual birthday was March 9th and Nick and I took the day off to spend with our little girl, allllll alone! It was the best day. We woke up in the morning and she opened her extra gift from mom and dad. It was a HUGE stuffed animal pony!!! Now she doesn't have to ride Nash (the dog) as a horse! Then we lounged around and finally got up to go to McDonalds!!! She had the play area all to herself and she had a blast. Then we decided to head over to San Tan Mall play area that is outside. It was sunny and comfortable outside. Then Nick suprised us by leading us over to The Golden Spoon where we had some ice cream. Addy indulged herself in a ton of ice cream and loved every minute of it. It was such a blast, I looove spending those moment with those two.

So what is she like at 2 so far? Well, she talks a lot more and says words that I didn't even know were in her vocabulary; this can be good or bad! She still isn't potty trained, but she knows what going to and sitting on the potty is. She has had her last shot until she is between 4 or 6! Woo hoo. She has her moments where she is a picky eater, but most days she loves whatever mom and dad give her!

These years are the craziest and most precious! I know that we are trying to absorb every moment of it all! She is such a blessing.

Stop getting so big! Ok, well a little bigger....STOP THERE!

Ooooohhhh how time flies. Watching Addyson grow up so quickly makes me smile inside and out, but want to cry and kick and scream that she's not allowed to grow anymore. It's bittersweet, that's for sure!

She is talking up a storm! This girl will hear you say something and copy it verbatem, scary, I know! Her favorite words are: NO! (Of course), babyyy(her blanket's name), Barwuh(Bear, her favorite stuffed animal), Mommy , Daddy, Mooowwww(More), Nash, 'Mere(Come here). It is so funny to hear these things come out of her mouth with her lack of pronounciation skills.

Addyson has also caught on to family memember's names now. But, she seems to think that every 'old' or 'older looking' person is Papa or Nama. A little embaressing when she is pointing in public calling some random old geeser her Papa! Haha, it's good for a laugh and the geesers are usually sweet and laugh at her, how couldn't you?!

It's coming up to her 2nd birthday already and we're leaning towards a park party with lots of friends and family again. This time we'll have endless room to run, play and eat.

It makes me smile when she learns something new, but at the same time I get teary-eyed knowing that this is the first and last time going through this with her.....Ya, I can have another kid, but this is my baby girl and I love every moment of waking up with her when she is "scawed" and every fit or new skill learned. All I know to do is soke it up and celebrate her accomplishments. The never ending love for a child is such an unexplainable gift! I am so grateful for Nick and I to get to enjoy it daily.

Just don't grow up too fast baby girl.....

A New Addiction.....to samples!

Recently, (and I don't remember how) I started these few websites that I check on a daily (sometimes hourly) basis, to see what free giveaways and or samples you can get just for signing up with name, address and e-mail. See, you think ' I don't want all that Junk Mail in my e-mail acct. .......well, I created a special account just for signing up for freebies. Anyway, after that side note.....I have signed up for all kinda things. Examples, tide pens, reusable grocery bags, laundry detergant samples, hairbands, vitamins, make-up; it all depends on what is offered for the day and these sites find them for you. The sites also offers coupons if you enjoy doing that couponing thing (which I don't). So, usually these samples take anywhere from 4-8 weeks to get in the mail so I'm still waiting for mine since I just started this craze! I'll let you know and post some pics of the cool stuff I get!

Foot surgery time

Okay well, it's been a long time coming, but I finally had to get both my feet fixed! The right one had a bone spur on the top of the foot and it hurt so bad that it made my walk funky and affected how my show fit.

So they basically they shaved the bone to get rid of it.

So believe it or not, this is the minor of the two, and I think (because I havne't seen) it's a small incision.

Then the second procedure I had on my left foot and it's been bugging me so much more and is extremely painful. The whole issue I think started when I did hair for a living and wore horrible shoes and stood for long, long periods of time. Then when I got preggo with Addyson, the extra weight and a hormone that loosens the bodies' ligaments during pregnancy, I guess is said to flatten the feet, and in my case too much. Soooo, biggest lesson, spend money on good shoes! What the problem was, was I had an inflames Plantar Fascia. It's the ligament at the bottom of your foot, pretty much the arch area. It was so inflamed that nothing would fix it. I tried stretching, icing and massages for a year and on top of that super painful Cortisone shots into the arch and the heel. All of this failed so I tried orthotics, no bueno either so surgery it was. And so why not do both at once, right?!  I know this sounds dumb, but one, I already met my insurance deductible and two, I wouldn't have to go through the pain and time off work two times around!

So I had it done bright and early Thursday, December 9th. I went under all the way and woke up in no pain because they numbed it for 12 hrs. The next morning ....WOOOEEEE! It hurt like heck!

Nick and all our family have been so amazing. I couldn't really even stand till today (Sunday), but Nick has carried me to the couch, the bed, and back and then all over again. His parents brought over an electric wheelchair that in no way is fashionable, but thank goodness for it!  Crutches stink! Plus, when I get back to work, which is about a full week and a half post surgery I'll be using them. The surgery calls for one to two months off, but I'd go crazy so sitting at work will have to do! Anyway, the in laws made us multiple dinners and provided some much needed outside conversation. My parents watched Addy and will probably be helping more so with her next week too! And then, friends Traci and Scott and their little one came over for movie and dinner night, which was all done by them! Then I have Julie, a friend from work stopping by for company tomorrow. It makes me appreciate how many loved ones and friends I have! It definitly shows you who really cares at the end of the day! Soo, that's my boring foot surgery story, but hey, gotta do something while I'm sitting here, unable to move! Haha

Weirdest, but addictive show

BIG LOVE

It's a crazy show on HBO about a man and his three wives. Yes, three! They are paligamists in this day and age under-cover. It's humerous and crazy, definitly keeps you watching. Beware though, it's kinda controversial, but eye-opening!

It's now Winter, wow!

I cannot believe how time has flown by! I last blogged at the end of the summer. So much has gone on since.

In September, we celebrated my 25th birthday! And Nick and I got to go to Las Vegas the week before with my Sister-In-Law and her significant other, Britt. We stayed at he Excalibur and had tons of fun. I finally learned how to do something other than play slots! I played Video Black Jack and it was lots of fun. I ended up breaking even if not a little over. Anyway, we looked inside some of the new hotels and druelled over the decorations. Here are some pictures of the fun! Oh and meanwhile, Addyson got to spend some quality time with both her Grandma's! Ok, on to the pictures!!
